<p>The invention is aimed at synthesizing the maximum approximation of the sound of a live musical instrument and providing the performer with a true sense of the non-electronic grand piano, which consists of the following: continuous pedal motion, natural overtone excitation, timbral nuance and dynamic mark capacity. The synthesizer is characterized by a very wide dynamic sound range. The synthesizer contains the MIDI sequence input unit, the MIDI analysis unit, the units for generating the string and hammer parameters connected to the filter and to the sound reproducer via the sound generating unit. The units for generating string, hammer, and sound parameters are made with an option for physical simulation of the behavior of a group of strings loaded at one string plate, during excitation of each string by hammer strike with regard to bending stiffness, string tension force, dampers position, as well as mass, shape, weight, and material of the hammer, and coordinates of hammer strike on the string.</p> |
