PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of controlling a state of displaying an image of a virtual object which is a display target on a screen.

SOLUTION: A virtual space display unit 86 displays an image showing an appearance which is seen by looking visual field area determined from a view point in a virtual space in which the virtual object is arranged and from a visual line direction. A tolerance calculation unit 102 calculates a moving tolerance of a view point position and/or a change tolerance of the visual line direction on the basis of a size of an area in which the visual field area intersects with a closed area occupied by the virtual object. A view point moving unit 110 executes movement of the view point position and/or a change of the visual line direction within the tolerance according to user's view point moving operation.
