PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system for obtaining power saving effects while improving convenience.

SOLUTION: A CPU body 10 (power saving monitor 112) generates a command to change the luminance value of a display monitor 3 (LCD panel 320) only by a prescribed value at predetermined time intervals according to a DDC/CI protocol specified by VESA in response to the occurrence of a specific event that any external interference does not occur in a fixed time, and transmits the command through a communication cable 2 (I2C bus) to a display monitor 3 (scaler IC30 for control).
