<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a conventional configuration, it is impossible to dynamical change a compensation amount, and only common compensation amount can be applied to scenes requiring different compensation amounts, so that a desired color can not be expressed. <P>SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus includes: a hue calculation unit for determining a hue value from a color difference signal; a compensation amount calculation unit for determining a hue compensation amount and a saturation compensation amount from the hue value; a hue compensation unit for compensating for the color difference signal in accordance with the hue compensation amount; and a saturation compensation unit for compensating for the color difference signal in accordance with the saturation compensation amount.
