<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for starting a reaction without causing the moisture absorption of a heteropolyacid catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The method for starting a gas phase-solid phase contact reaction comprises performing the gas phase-solid phase contact reaction using an organic compound as a raw material in a shell and tube style reactor in which heat is exchanged between a catalyst-filled reaction tube and a heat medium circulated on the outside of the reaction tube, characterized by filling a heteropolyacid catalyst in the reaction tube and then heating the whole body of the reactor to the melting point of a thermal medium or higher by the following methods (1) and (2). (1) The reactor is heated with a steam tracer and/or an electric tracer from the outside to heat the whole body of the reactor to 70°C or higher. (2) After temperature in all the layers of the catalyst layers reaches 70°C or higher, the reactor is heated to the melting point of the thermal medium or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
