<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind instrument which is usable as an ordinary wind instrument as well and is usable also as a silenceable electronic musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A saxophone M having a musical instrument body 10, a mouthpiece 20a exchangeably disposed at the musical instrument body 10 and a finger operation section 12 which comprises a plurality of operators 11 disposed at the musical instrument body 10 and determines musical tones according to the combinations of operations is replaceably provided with an electronic mouthpiece 20 having a lip sensor 24, a tonguing sensor 23 and a wind sensor 25. Magnets 13 are attached to the operators 11 and hall sensors 15 are attached to the portions facing the magnets 13 of the musical instrument body 10.
