<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production apparatus which produces hydrogen by a steam reforming reaction using a hydrocarbon and steam as raw materials, provided that the apparatus prevents corrosion of its components made of metal materials, such as a reformer, a purifier, heat recovery piping and a heat exchanger, which occurs as a result of contact between these components and a reformed gas, and prevents stress corrosion cracking at bent parts in a reformed gas contacting part. <P>SOLUTION: The reformed gas contacting part, which contacts the reformed gas containing carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and steam, are formed from a material comprising an austenitic stainless steel comprising, by mass, ≤0.080% C, ≤1.00% Si, ≤2.00% Mn, ≤0.045% P, ≤0.030% S, 10.00-15.00% Ni, 16.00-18.00% Cr and 2.00-3.00% Mo. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
