<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection system for early detection of a collision generated in a vehicle equipped with a high voltage power supply, such as, hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The collision detection system is applied to the vehicle CR equipped with a motor-generator 2 as a drive source, a drive control means HCM for controlling the drive of the motor generator, and a power supply. The power supply includes the high-voltage power supply 10 for distributing power to the motor generator, and a low-voltage power supply 20 for supplying power to the drive control means, and has a collision determination means HCM for determining the collision generated in the vehicle, based on the change in the voltage of the low-voltage power supply. According to the collision detection system, since the collision determination means determines the presence/absence of the collision of the vehicle according to the change in the voltage of the low-voltage power supply, collision determination can be performed quickly, without requiring much time, as it did conventionally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
