PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact photographing lenses for optimally correcting various aberrations from a point at infinity to a short range object and obtaining superior optical performance over an entire screen, and to provide optical equipment having the photographing lens and an imaging method. SOLUTION: The photographing lenses include a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, an aperture diaphragm S, and a second lens group G1 having positive refractive power arranged in order from an object side. The first lens group G1 includes a first lens component L1 having negative refractive power, and a second lens component L2 having positive refractive power arranged in order from an object side. When a focal length of the first lens group G1 is f1, a focal length of whole lens system is f, and an air interval between the first lens component L1 and the second lens component L2 in the first lens group G1 is D12, conditions of following inequalities: 0.12
