PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring method and a shape measuring device capable of performing high-accuracy high-reliability shape measurement. SOLUTION: A first information acquisition means (CPU 61, first information acquisition program 63a) obtains first information concerning a cross-sectional shape of a sphere 200 parallel to a stem 201; a second information acquisition means (CPU 61, second information acquisition program 63b) obatains second information concerning a cross-sectional shape of the sphere 200 at an angle different from the stem 201; a position calculation means (CPU 61, position calculation program 63c) calculates a relative position between the cross-sectional shapes in the sphere 200 based on the first information and the second information, by using predetermined constraint conditions between the cross-sectional shapes in the sphere 200; and a shape measuring means (CPU 61, shape measuring program 63d) calculates the shape of the sphere 200 based on the calculated relative position.
