<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs, and to surely and properly determine addresses of nonvolatile memories of both new and old substrates, and to efficiently replace the substrate by notifying a data copying state when a connection error or the like occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A data copying machine 1 for copying data from a copy source nonvolatile memory to a copy destination nonvolatile memory comprises: a copy source substrate 4a with a nonvolatile memory installed thereon; a copy destination substrate 4z with a nonvolatile memory installed thereon; and a repair tool 8 connected to the copy destination substrate 4z and the copy source substrate 4a, and equipped with a state notification part 81 for notifying the data copying state. A control part for controlling the copying of data is arranged on the substrate. An address setting part for setting the address of the nonvolatile memory as a copy source or a copy destination is included in both the copy source substrate and the copy destination substrate. The control part copies the data from the copy source nonvolatile memory to the copy destination nonvolatile memory, and causes a state notification part 81 to display the state.
