<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure, without affecting surrounding metals, the characteristics of a transistor of a device having transistors which micro-crystallize a channel region. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A display 1 is provided comprising: a display area 10 having a plurality of pixel sections 30; and drive sections 31 provided according to the pixel sections 30 of the display area 10 and wherein a plurality of drive transistors 31a are arranged in parallel along the display surface of the display area 10. Also, a method of producing the display is provided wherein, in forming the channel region of the drive transistor 31a, the channel region is scanned and irradiated with a solid laser beam along the direction wherein a plurality of drive transistors 31a are in parallel.
