<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for suppressing latency in a storage system equipped with a plurality of storage devices connected in a daisy chain. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The storage system 10 is provided with: a target specifying part 830 for specifying data to be adjusted from among data stored in a plurality of HDDs 270; a destination selecting part 850 for selecting a storage device HDD 270 to store the data to be adjusted so that they are transferred through the minimum number of expanders; and a data migrating part 860 for migrating the data to be adjusted to the HDD 270 as a destination.
