CROSS-NETWORK CALL HOLDING METHOD AND APPARATUS

A cross-network call holding method and apparatus are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. Said method comprises the steps as follows: receiving the call holding request sent by the Circuit Switched CS network terminal, and said call holding request comprises the indication which indicates that said CS network terminal will continue sending the media stream; indicating the opposite device to keep receiving the media stream of said CS network terminal, and stop sending the media stream. Application of the present invention enables to realize that the wireless resource is only released partly after the UE in the CS network initiates the call holding operation, thereby the effect of playing the local media file to the opposite device after the call is held, saving the network resource, and improving the use experience of the user is achieved.
