<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing a color filter for a translucent liquid crystal display device, having favorable color characteristics of a colored layer in an area for reflected light and an area for transmitted light, and having favorable optical path difference in the area for reflected light and the area for transmitted light. <P>SOLUTION: A color filter substrate has a transparent substrate, a transparent resin layer formed in the area for reflected light on the transparent substrate, and a colored layer including a colored layer for reflected light, which is formed on the transparent resin layer and a colored layer for transmitted light, which is formed in the area for transmitted light on the transparent substrate. This method of manufacturing the color filter for the translucent liquid crystal display device includes: a photosensitive resin layer forming step of forming a photosensitive resin layer containing photosensitive resin to cover the transparent substrate and the colored layer of the color filger substrate; and a spacer optical path difference adjusting layer forming step of exposing and developing the photosensitive resin layer using a gray scale mask for simultaneously forming an optical path difference adjusting layer on a columnar spacer and the colored layer for reflected light or the colored layer for transmitted light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
