<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the drawback of a fine crack in the surface of the bottom of a glass container less likely to occur and to make it possible to easily wipe soil without affecting any bottom inspection even if a bottom face is soiled. <P>SOLUTION: An annular projection is formed along the outer peripheral part of the bottom face of the container. The curvature radius (R1) of the top part of the projection is set to 3 mm or less and the height (H) of the projection is 0.05 to 0.4 mm.
