<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintainability of an exhaust filter in a ventilator provided with the exhaust filter in an exhaust passage for discharging indoor air to outdoors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ventilator (10) includes a filter drive means (35) for reversing the indoor side and the outdoor side of the exhaust filter (17), and a bypass passage (25) connected to the exhaust passage (12) so that air passed through the exhaust filter (17) bypasses an air conditioning element (15). The ventilator (10) reverses the indoor side and the outdoor side of the exhaust filter (17) by the filter drive means (35), removes dust adhered to the exhaust filter (17) by passing discharged air through the exhaust filter (17) from the indoor side by blowing means (13, 14), and discharges the removed dust from the exhaust filter (17) through the bypass passage (25) to outdoors.
