<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber ring mounting structure capable of achieving watertight sealing performance at a specified position by preventing a rubber ring from being separated or coming off from a mounting face, being twisted or broken, or undergoing other failures due to external pressure at the time of joining a pipe end. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber ring mounting structure comprises a mounting base side including an insert section and the other section including an inclined blade piece on which an external force is applied when a connection pipe is press-fitted. The insert section has a cross-section of a dovetail shape, and the upper part of the insert section of the rubber ring is widened in the axial direction of the joining pipe as compared with the lower part at the outer end. The insert section on the mounting base side is fitted as a loop in a recessed groove having a shape same as the shape of the insert section to prevent the insert section from being deformed.
