<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vestibule for surely and easily performing sitting-down operation and standing-up operation to a bench, when putting on and taking off footgear. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this vestibule 1, a step floor 5 is arranged between a dirt floor 3 and an indoor floor 4, and the bench 7 is arranged above the step floor. The height of a floor surface of the step floor is higher a little than the dirt floor, and is sufficiently lower than the height of a floor surface of the indoor floor. A seat plate 6 of the bench has a lateral width of straddling the dirt floor and the step floor.
