PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shift circuit without occurrence of malfunction when disengaging a standby state. SOLUTION: A level shift circuit has: a level conversion circuit 5 that converts a signal level of a circuit that operates in a VDD1 system into a signal level in a VDD2 system; a barrier gate circuit 2 that receives a standby signal (STBY) and fixes an input signal (AB and ABB) of the level conversion circuit 5 to a low level; and a holding circuit (MMP1 and MMP2) that holds an output of the level conversion circuit 5 to a constant voltage when the input signal (AB and ABB) becomes low level.
