PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preplasticating injection molding machine which is simple in structure and can be operated inexpensively, suppress the retention of a molding material, and efficiently mold a high quality molding. SOLUTION: The preplasticating injection molding machine is composed of a plastication part 1 for plasticating and kneading the molding material, an injection part 2 for injecting the molding material plasticated and kneaded by the plastication part 1 into a mold cavity 31, a molding material passage 4 for making the plastication chamber 15 of the plastication part 1 and the injection chamber 27 of the injection part 3 communicate with each other, and a control part 5 for controlling the driving of the plastication part 1 and the injection part 2. The control part 5, after the completion of the injection of the plasticated material into the mold cavity 31, makes an injection plunger 22 retreat to a position where the molding material passage 4 is opened, supplies the molding material from the plastication chamber 15 into the injection chamber 27, advances the injection plunger 22 to a prescribed advance position after the injection chamber 27 is filled with the molding material, and carries out the metering and injection of the molding material.
