<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of switches while achieving simple and sure operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A display device is provided with: a motion detecting part for detecting motion in the plane of a display screen 20 given by a grip part 12 to the display device 10; a display control part, which displays a plurality of icons 51-53 on the display screen 20 so as to move the icons 51-53 in a direction opposite to the motion detected by the motion detecting part, on the display screen 20 while a function switch 32 is being turned on; and a function executing part that executes a function assigned to the icon, displayed at the specific position (for example, the center position) on the display screen 20, in the plurality of icons 51-53 when the function switch 32 is turned off.
