A catalytic activated diesel particle filter with ammonia trap effect is disclosed, comprising a coating (1) catalytically active in the SCR reaction in addition to an oxidation active coating (2). Said diesel particle filter permits a significantly simpler and more economical design of exhaust gas treatment units for removing nitrogen oxides and particles from the exhaust gas of lean-burn engines.
