<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image the best shot image for each object. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 104 receives the number of objects inputted by a user to determine the number of the objects, thereby calculating the number of sheets allocated for recording an image file for each object based on free space of a storage medium and the number of the objects. The control device 104 evaluates the appearance of the object included in the image of a through image inputted from an image sensor 103 to calculate the appearance evaluation value. Then, the best shot image is imaged by adjusting focus and brightness to the object which is provided with a predetermined threshold value or more and for which maximum appearance evaluation value is calculated out of the appearance evaluation values of a plurality of objects. Further, the control device 104 determines whether or not the number of sheets of the best shot image for each object has reached the number of the sheets allocated for recording the number per person.
