PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polarizing plate which makes a polarizer thin to improve contrast in liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a polarizing plate including the polarizer and at least one polarizing plate protection film adjacent to the polarizer includes: a step of producing a laminate by laminating a polymer for forming the polarizer and a polymer for forming the polarizing plate protection film; and a step of stretching the laminate.
