<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily determining the quantity of sulfur components in coal by form. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A quantitative determination method of sulfur in coal by form includes: heating coal in an inert gas from room temperature to 1000°C; and determining the quantity of sulfur in coal by existence form by a continuous monitoring measurement of sulfur-containing gasses generated by heat decomposition of a sulfur compound.
