<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver which turns off main power supplies of other electronic apparatuses connected thereto when it turns off a main power supply of itself by a sleep timer function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a timer counts the time set at a sleep timer by a remote controller, a control section 7 turns off a main power supply of its own apparatus after outputting a control signal for turning off a main power supply to other electronic apparatuses. The control signal output from the control section 7 is transmitted to other electronic apparatuses such as a hard disc recorder or the like via a transmission section 21 and an HDMI cable to turn off the main power supplies of those electronic apparatuses.
