<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-treatment apparatus for restraining misalignment of ends of a bundle of sheets supplied to a stitching process caused by movement of a stapling device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This sheet post-treatment apparatus for conducting a saddle stitching process on a bundle of sheets comprises a stapling device which conducts a stitching process based on an instruction signal instructing an execution of a stitching process; a sheet guide member, which is mounted on the stapling device, faces a surface of a sheet to be stacked; a moving means allowing the stapling device to move along a line perpendicular to a sheet conveyance direction and dividing the sheet into two equal portions; and a control section which controls, during the sheets are stacked as the bundle of sheets, the stapling device to stand by at a sheet widthwise center to be sequencially conveyed to a plurality of positions set beforehand after the bundle of sheets is formed, and which sends the instruction signal to the stapling device which is stopped at the plurality of positions.
