PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the stable image quality, even when the regularity is collapsed for arrangement of field images. SOLUTION: From a current field image and a preceding field image, a frame image combined as data of an identical time duration is generated as a first candidate image. From the current field image and a succeeding field image, a frame image combined as data of an identical time duration is generated as a second candidate image. The current field image is input, and a frame image is generated as a third candidate image using pixel interpolation processing. It is determined whether the current field image has continuity with the preceding field image and the succeeding field image or not. The determined result for the current field image is stored as history information. From patterns for the history information of continuous field images before the stored current field image, a specific pattern is detected.
