PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electric wire with a terminal metal fitting and the electric wire with the terminal metal fitting for reducing a dimension of the width direction of the terminal metal fitting. SOLUTION: In a welding process, a core wire 21 in an exposed state which is housed in the terminal metal fitting 30 mounted on an anvil 60 of an ultrasonic welding machine 100 is pushed down from above by a welding horn 70, and out of a welded part 50 of a semi-cylindrical face, by applying high frequency vibrations respectively to the intermediate part and right and left end part sides, a core wire connection part 45 and the core wire 21 are ultrasonic-welded.
