PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative construction method capable of securing superior waterproofness, while making a joint part inconspicuous, in a wall surface of applying waterproof processing by using a dry joint material. SOLUTION: (1) The dry joint material is fitted in the joint part between adjacent fry boards so that an end surface of the dry board appears, and (2) after filling a putty material having maximum tensile stress of 50-500 N/cm<SP>2</SP>, an elongation percentage in rupture of 100-600% and the solid content of 90 wt.% or more, in the joint part so as to join the end surface of the dry board, (3) a finishing paint material is painted.
