PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device with high efficiency of light extraction, a lighting device, and a display, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the organic EL device 1, a low refractive index layer 2, a functional layer 3, a transparent first electrode 4, a hole injection layer 7, a light-emitting layer 5 and a second electrode 6 are laminated in this order in contacting states. A surface of the functional layer 3 is formed with a plurality of irregularities having a height of 0.5-100 μm. A refractive index n1 of the first electrode 4 and a refractive index n2 of the functional layer 3 satisfy Formula 1 of 0.3≥n1-n2≥0. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
