The valve (1) has a housing (2b) defining a flow path (S), and an operating device (3) fastened to the housing in a rotatable manner. The operating device has a locking body (3a) that is movable between a locking position, in which the flow path is blocked, and an opening position, in which the flow path is released. An operating shaft (3b) is connected with the locking body in a torque-proof manner. The locking body and the operating shaft are rotatable around a common rotational axis (X), which runs at an angle to the flow path. The operating device is provided with a rotation absorber (4).
