The covering has diverting units (2) for diverting of a flow direction of a discharging fluid, where the diverting units are arranged in a distributed manner over a surface limited by a discharge opening (1). The diverting units are designed as lamellas and are arranged transverse to flow direction, of the fluid, existing in an inner side of tomography equipment. A paddle (3) shields the discharge opening in relation to components inside the tomography equipment. The diverting units, the paddle and/or coupling elements (8) are made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a gantry of computer tomography equipment comprising a support frame.
