The gabion (1) has a framework cage (4) i.e. wire cage, filled partially with lumpy filling material elements (5), where the elements on a visible side of the gabion are visible through the framework cage. A part of the filling material elements is manufactured by hardening of hardenable casting compound that is manufactured on basis of polymer mass i.e. polyurethane foam. The filling material elements exhibit a filling density in the range of 250- 350 kilogram per meter cube. The casting compound contains additional materials with noise control characteristics such as liquid cellulose.
