<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-concentrated dispersion dispersing a water-insoluble colorant such as pigments as fine particles of nanometer sizes having a fine and uniform particle diameter, and to provide a method for producing the same efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing a water-insoluble colorant dispersion comprises bringing a solution into contact with an aqueous medium, the solution dissolving a water-insoluble colorant in an aprotic water-soluble organic solvent in the presence of an alkali, and the aqueous medium dissolving a polymer compound having as its hydrophilic group at least one acid group selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a hydroxy group, and a phosphoric acid group, and forming fine particles of the water-insoluble colorant in a medium including water, to obtain a dispersion dispersing the fine particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
