<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside handle device for a vehicle, which can prevent the erroneous opening of a door in the collision of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This outside handle device 100 for the vehicle comprises: a handle body 3, the other end 5 of which is freely movable in an opening operation direction X directed to the outside of the door; a handle hook 7 which is supported on the other end 5 of the handle body 3; and a disengagement lever 17 which disengages a latch device of the door 1 by being pushed by a hook portion 7a of a handle hook 7 and turned in the opening operation direction X, when the handle hook 7 is turned in the opening operation direction X. The handle hook 7 is freely turnably supported on the other end 5 of the handle body 3, so as to be freely turnable between an engaging position in which the hook portion 7a of the handle hook 7 abuts on the disengagement lever 17 in the opening operation direction X, and a nonengagement position in which the hook portion 7a of the handle hook 7 does not abut on the disengagement lever 17 in the opening operation direction X.
