<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that prevents image deterioration due to black saturation, black floating, white saturation and the like even in an environment where exposure time is extended and temperature is changeable. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element, a switching portion and control portion. The imaging element includes a light receiving surface on which light receiving elements enabling address designation and reading are arranged where not only an imaging region for imaging an object image and light receiving elements are covered with a light shielding member but also an optical black region for outputting a dark current component signal is disposed on the light receiving surface. The switching portion switches a first state where a light flux is incident on the light receiving surface and a second state where incidence of the light flux on the light receiving surface is prevented. The control portion reads a signal level for each partial region of the optical black region when imaging a dark image in the second state after imaging a normal image in the first state, and then sequentially compares with the signal level of the position corresponding to the normal image. This results in allowing the exposure time of the dark image to be controlled according to the comparison results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
