PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemical thermal storage system for a vehicle, capable of stably storing heat over a long period, and capable of heating a heating object requiring a high temperature.

SOLUTION: The chemical thermal storage system for a vehicle 10 includes: a reactor 40 storing a chemical thermal storage material for storing heat by dehydration reaction by the exhaust heat of an engine 12 loaded on an automobile 11 and radiating heat by hydration reaction; an adsorber 54 storing an adsorbent capable of adsorbing the water vapor discharged according to the dehydration reaction from the reactor 40 and desorbing the adsorbed water vapor; an exhaust heat recovery device 34 for providing the desorption heat for desorption of the water vapor from the adsorbent of the adsorber 54; and a heating air line 50 for conducting the heat radiated by the hydration of the chemical thermal storage material in the reactor 40 to a catalyst converter 18 as an heating object.
