<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of reducing any circumferential play, allowing excellent connecting work efficiency between a hub ring and an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, and allowing easy separation between the hub ring and the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, and having excellent maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: A rugged fitting structure M in which all fitting contact parts 38 of a ridge part 35 and a groove part 36 are tightly fitted to each other is constituted by press-fitting the ridge part 35 provided on either an outside diameter surface of a shaft part 12 of an outer joint member or an inside diameter surface 37 of a hole part 22 of a hub ring 1 and extending axially into the other along the axial direction, and forming the groove part 36 provided on the other to be tightly fitted to the ridge part 35 by the ridge part 35. The rugged fitting structure M permits separation caused by applying the axially drawing force. An inboard side end of the hub ring 1 is staked to the outside diameter side to form a staked section 31, and the staked section applies preload to a rolling bearing 2. The staked section 31 and a back surface 11a of a mouth section 11 of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint 3 opposing the staked section 31 are brought into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
