<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost and to prevent a mechanism failure by simplifying a reset mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The variable code type cylinder lock includes a movable regulating member 8 directly or indirectly fixed to one of an outer cylinder 1 and an inner cylinder 2 in a turning direction, constituted to be radially movable and comprising a regulating part 8s for regulating a turning angle range between the outer cylinder and inner cylinder; an energizing member 10 energizing the movable regulating member to one side in the radial direction; and an engaging part 1s directly or indirectly fixed to the other of the outer cylinder and inner cylinder and constituted to abut on the regulating part to thereby regulate the turning angle range. When the movable regulating member is located on one side in the radial direction, the regulating part abuts on the engaging part to stop turning of the inner cylinder in a regulated angle position B, and when the movable regulating member moves to the opposite side in the radial direction against the energizing member, the regulating part retreats.
