<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing capable of reducing wear under hard foreign matter-mixed lubrication as one embodiment of wear in the bearing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The axial intermediate part of at least a shaft base material 8 of a shaft 8M is hardened through heat treatment, and a hard coating 12 is applied to the rolling surface of at least any one among the shaft base material 8, an outer ring 9 and a rolling element 10. The surface roughness of the base material, on which the hard coating 12 is to be formed, is set such that it is ≤Ra 0.15 μm, and the coating thickness δ2 of the hard coating is set such that it is ≥1 μm and ≤5 μm.
