<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse tube refrigerating machine that is small and does not vibrate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pulse tube refrigerating machine includes a pair of linear motors disposed opposing each other, a pair of pistons driven in the axial direction by the linear motors, a cylinder in which the opposing pistons are stored, a buffer tank positioned at the center of the opposing pistons and formed in a ring shape on the outside of the cylinder, an inertance tube disposed in the buffer tank, and an inlet/outlet of operating gas of the cylinder formed on the outside of the buffer tank and the inertance tube. The pulse tube refrigerating machine includes a compressor in an air-tight state except for an inlet/outlet of the operating gas, and an expansion machine connected to the inlet/outlet of the operating gas of the compressor and composed of a high temperature end, a cold accumulator, a low temperature end, and a pulse tube.
