PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film made of polyolefin-based resin which has extremely few fish eyes, is excellent in size stability and surface hardness, has improved performances with respect to peeling force control and delivery and is suitable as the surface protective film. SOLUTION: The surface protective film comprises: a substrate made of propylene-based resin; a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on one-side surface of the substrate; and a peeling treatment layer formed on the other side surface of the substrate, wherein the propylene-based resin of the substrate layer is a propylene single polymer or a propylene-α-olefin random copolymer which is polymerized by using a metallocene catalyst and has a specified MFR, a fusion peak temperature, a molecular weight distribution and a TREF value, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is a layer principally comprising an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer which is polymerized by using a metallocene catalyst and has a specified density, a TREF value and a molecular weight distribution, and the peeling treatment layer has a peeling treatment layer surface of which the center surface average roughness (Ra) falls into the range of 0.2 to 1.5μm.
