PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus that performs processing (playback, reservation, or the like) relating to a specific television program in accordance with melody that a user has prepared. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a receiving apparatus including: a melody generation section 110 which generates melody data by collecting sounds and performing frequency analysis; an information acquisition section 100 which collects information such as Web information, data broadcast, channel information and the like from a network and manages a specific TV program and the melody data in association with each other; a command control section 120 which compares the melody data being managed by the information acquisition section 100 with the melody data generated by the melody generation section 110 and outputs an instruction command for controlling the receiving apparatus if matched; and a display control section 130 which performs schedule management upon the dates/times to execute instruction commands outputted from the command control section 120 and displays them on a monitor.
