PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make long-time operation possible by attaining power saving by improving efficiency in battery saving and to improve utilization efficiency in space. SOLUTION: A mobile station radio apparatus, in a wireless communication system for performing communication between mobile station radio apparatuses 11a, 11b and a base station radio apparatuses 12a, 12b, includes: a memory 24 for storing beforehand information on a position where the base station radio apparatuses 12a, 12b are installed; a GPS receiver 37 for receiving a radio wave from a GPS satellite 14 to acquire information on a position where the mobile station radio apparatuses 11a, 11b are located at present; and a CPU 21 for calculating the distance between the mobile station radio apparatus and the base station radio apparatus from the acquired position information of the mobile station radio apparatuses 11a, 11b and the position information of the base station radio equipment 12a, 12b being stored in the memory 24 and for determining the base station radio apparatuses 12a, 12b to be captured on the basis of the distance.
