The device (100) has actuators (160, 170, 180) for influence of vehicle dynamics, and yaw rate-control units (110, 120) for controlling the yaw rate of a motor vehicle. A transverse speed control unit (130) controls the transverse speed of the motor vehicle. A distribution unit (140) is provided for the parallel control of the actuators according to requirements by the yaw rate-control units and by the transverse speed control unit. An estimation unit (150) estimates the dynamic condition of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for stability control of a motor vehicle.
