<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix display device including an inspection means provided on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel array part 1 for performing display and an inspection part 7 for performing inspection thereof are disposed on a substrate. Each pixel 2 includes at least a driving transistor Trd and a light emitting element EL. The driving transistor Trd outputs a driving current according to image signal, and the light emitting element EL emits light according to the driving current. The inspection part 7 includes a plurality of inspection transistors Trt disposed in conformation to each row or each column of the pixels 2. The inspection transistor Trt has the same characteristic as the driving transistor Trd contained in the pixels 2 of the corresponding row or column.
