<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing capable of reducing wear under hard foreign matter-mixed lubrication as one embodiment of wear in the bearing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: At least the axial intermediate part of a shaft 8M is hardened through heat treatment, and a hard coating 12 is applied to the rolling surface of at least any one among the shaft 8M, an outer ring 9 and a rolling element 10. The critical load of the hard coating 12 by measurement from a scratch method is set to be ≥40 N and ≤110 N, and the coating thickness of the hard coating 12 is set such that it is ≥1 μm and ≤5 μm. Since the coating thickness is set in a range of ±2 μm or less, on the basis of the coating thickness at the axial center P1 of the hard coating 12, peeling of the hard coating 12 can be prevented, and wear resistance can be exhibited.
