<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block copolymer for use in coating composition having good adhesion to a polyolefin resin and an acrylic resin, and a coating composition containing the block copolymer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This block copolymer comprises 4-t-butylcyclohexyl (meth)acrylate of a unit (a) as a repeating structural unit, and a monomer of a unit (b) excepting the unit (a). The block copolymer comprises a polymer block (A) containing the unit (a) of ≥90 mass%, and a polymer block (B) containing the unit (b) of ≥90 mass%, wherein a number average molecular weight of each polymer block (A) is 5,000-200,000.
